Klein vs Milwaukee screwdrivers - I finally picked a side
I used Klein for 8 years because that's what my old boss handed me. Last month I tried a Milwaukee demo kit at a supply house in Phoenix. After 40 drops off a 12 foot ladder, the Klein handle cracked but the Milwaukee's still fine. Has anyone else had a brand switch save them money in the long run?

The tip bending thing is where I drew the line too. I had a Klein 10-in-1 where the bit holder started wobbling after a few months, which drove me nuts when I was trying to hit a tight spot. For me, the biggest savings came from not having to replace a driver every 6 months because the handle got chewed up or the tip wore down. If you're doing electrical work and want that insulation feel, try the Milwaukee Insulated demo screwdriver - it's got the same rubber grip but holds up better on drops. Once you break a few Klien handles at the worst possible time, the switch just makes sense for the back pocket.

Tbh I was strictly Klein for years until I borrowed a buddy's Milwaukee and noticed the difference right away. The rubber grip on the Klein gets slippery after a while, especially if you're sweating in the heat like we get down here. I dropped my 11-in-1 off a roof last summer and the tip bent on impact, that was the last straw for me honestly. Ngl I still grab my Klein for electrical work because the insulation feels more solid, but for everyday framing and drywall stuff the Milwaukee handles the abuse way better. Sounds like we both realized the same thing, sometimes loyalty to a brand just costs you in broken tools.
