You say it was your worst day in 10 years, but maybe that's just the one that sticks out because it was recent. I've had days where everything went wrong and I thought it was the end of the world, but looking back I realized I learned something or just got through it. Like when a big project fell apart and I had to start over, it sucked at the time but ended up being fine. Could it be that the job just feels harder right now for a different reason, like burnout or something outside of work?

Yeah, I had a buddy who had a day like that and later realized it was just the burnout talking.
