Tried a $3 glue stick for my journal spreads, it ruined 6 pages before I caught it

I grabbed a random glue stick from the dollar bin at Target last month, figured it was all the same. By day 4 the adhesive had gone yellow and started soaking through my 120gsm paper, leaving oily spots on 3 of my monthly spreads. Lesson learned: spend the extra $4 on a proper acid free one. Anyone else had a cheap supply backfire on them?

Ugh that totally sucks, I've been there. It's such a bummer when you think you're saving a couple bucks and then it ruins all your hard work. Hope the rest of your spreads survived okay.
