Overheard my coworker say bullet journals are just 'fancy to-do lists' and I nearly lost it
I was at a coffee shop last Tuesday sketching out my weekly spread when this guy behind me goes, 'You know those are just overpriced to-do lists, right?' I wanted to turn around and explain how wrong he was... but I just kept my mouth shut and sipped my latte. See, my bullet journal got me through a crazy HVAC season last summer where I had 14 service calls in one day. I had a rapid logging system with my own little symbols for emergency repairs, routine checks, and follow-ups. That guy had no idea how satisfying it is to migrate unfinished tasks to a new month and watch your chaos shrink. Anyway, I took away that some people just don't get the structure, and that's fine. Has anyone else had to defend their journal to a total stranger before?

Best way is to show them your rapid logging system, it shuts them up every time.

Used to think they were just fancy lists too, but then I actually tried logging my daily chaos and it totally clicked for me. That rapid logging system is a game changer once you get past the pretty spreads.
