I finally finished a whole month of daily logs without skipping a single day
I was sitting at my desk at work last Wednesday staring at my blank page for October and realized I'd actually filled in every single day. Usually I fall off around the 12th and just give up until the next month rolls around. Has anyone else found a trick that keeps them consistent past that first two week hump?

The trick nobody talks about is forgiving yourself before you mess up. Most people treat a missed day like they failed the whole thing and just quit, but I started leaving empty spaces on purpose. I drew a little stick figure or wrote "nope" on my off days, just acknowledging I didn't do it without beating myself up. That way the chain never actually breaks, it just has a few gaps. After a while those empty spots bugged me enough that I'd fill them with something small just to avoid looking at them.

Wait does drawing a little guy on my off days actually work or is that just a me thing?
