Appreciation post: That $15 scoring tool from Michael's saved my bujo spine from cracking

I spent $15 on a bone folder from Michael's and it stopped my journal spreads from tearing along the middle crease, has anyone else found cheap tools that actually make a difference?

A plain old letter opener works just as well if you run the dull edge down the crease before you start working on a new spread. Also try clamping your journal shut with rubber bands overnight after you crease it, really helps set that fold without damaging the spine...
