Renting on Wednesday always gets me the best deal.

Is Wednesday always the best day to rent a car? I've actually gotten stuck with higher prices on Wednesdays when business travel spikes in some areas. Your method might backfire during peak seasons when every rental place hikes rates across the board. I've had better luck just checking prices daily without sticking to a schedule. It all feels pretty hit or miss, to be honest.

Honestly that whole Wednesday thing sounds like making a simple task way too complicated. Ramirez.logan has the right idea pointing out how prices jump around randomly. These rental companies change their rates by the hour based on who's looking, not some magical cheap day. You're better off just checking a few times the week you need it instead of trusting one specific day. Feels like people are trying to find a secret system where there just isn't one.

Wait, isn't that kind of dismissing the whole idea of patterns though? I've actually tracked rental prices for the last year for my monthly trips and Wednesday mornings consistently give me lower rates than Friday or Saturday afternoons. Sure, prices fluctuate, but if you check at random times you might miss a window that's generally cheaper. A few years back I booked a car for a Thanksgiving trip and Wednesday was the only day the rate didn't double on me.
