My sister told me I was "throwing away 200 bucks a month" on takeout coffee so I changed one thing
She was right. I was literally spending $5 a day at the coffee shop near my job in Austin. Got a $30 french press and a $12 thermos from Target. Now I brew at home and bring it. Saved like $180 in the first month alone. Anyone else get called out by family and actually fix something?

$30 on a french press isn't exactly chump change either, and you still have to buy beans and clean the thing. Not everyone's morning routine has room for extra steps just to save a few bucks. Feels a bit dramatic to treat coffee money like a crisis unless you're actually broke.
