That $38 hostel in Athens saved me $200 in meals
I booked this place near Monastiraki Square that included a full breakfast spread with eggs, fresh bread, and coffee, so I stopped buying breakfast out for the whole 5 days. Before that I'd always grab a 7 euro pastry and coffee, but now I look for hostels that advertise 'included meals' in their listing description. Does anyone else factor in free food when picking a budget spot, or is it just me being extra hungry?

Wait, a hostel near Monastiraki with full eggs for $38 a night? Last time I checked, most of those places charge extra for actual cooked breakfast, and "included" usually means stale bread and instant coffee. You probably got lucky with a promo or a different season, so don't expect that everywhere. Still, smart move checking the listing for meals, I do the same thing now.
