I finally tried that free city tour hack and ended up in a goat farm
The guide took a wrong turn and we spent the afternoon milking goats instead of touring historical sites.

A buddy of mine once got a free gallery tour by just following a group inside. He managed to stay quiet until the guide pointed at him and asked for an opinion on the abstract art. Had to mumble something about plumbing supplies, which got a few odd looks from @masonr48's crowd. Never saw him move so fast toward the exit.

Free tours in Lisbon can get wild, but a goat farm is a new one. I heard about a group that ended up at a bakery instead of the castle, which is closer to @butler.iris's gallery mix-up. Actually, the real hack is to check the guide's map before you start, because wrong turns happen more than you'd think. My friend once followed a tour that turned into a cooking class, so these things have a way of working out oddly.
