The $28 dutch oven that turned out to be a total scam

I saw this cheap enameled dutch oven at a discount store near my place in Portland, thought I was being smart saving money. First use, I made a simple chili and the enamel started chipping off the bottom within 20 minutes. I tried contacting the company and the email bounced back, no phone number anywhere on the box. So I went back to my old battered cast iron pot that I got for $15 at a garage sale three years ago. That thing has lasted through hundreds of meals, camping trips, even a dropped lid incident without a scratch. I guess sometimes cheap means you pay twice, but I still think there are good budget options out there if you hunt for them. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these discount kitchen gadgets that looked too good to pass up?
