My mom told me I was wasting money on canned beans. She taught me how to cook dry ones and now I'm not sure which side I'm on.

Agree with @luna_craig58, canned beans are the move for lazy weeknights.

i get where she's coming from but honestly canned beans are a lifesaver. "wasting money" feels harsh when a can of black beans is like a buck and saves you hours of soaking and boiling. dry beans are cheaper sure but you gotta plan ahead and cook a whole batch or they're not really convenient. some days you just need to throw dinner together fast.
