Learned yesterday that most condiments are cheaper at dollar stores

I was at Dollar Tree picking up party stuff and walked past the food aisle. Ended up checking prices on ketchup and mustard against my grocery store app. Dollar Tree had a 20oz Heinz for $1.25 while my regular store charges $3.49 for the same size. Never thought to look there for stuff like that. Anyone else find random budget wins at places you wouldn't expect?

Actually read a consumer reports article about this a few months back. They did a big price check and found dollar stores are surprisingly cheap on shelf-stable basics like condiments and spices (but not on fresh stuff or name-brand snacks, obviously). Their logic was that those items have a long shelf life so the stores can afford to sell them cheap and still make money. The real hack I heard is to check the glass bottles at dollar stores too, since they sometimes get overstock from fancy grocery stores that rebranded or something.
