I bought a huge bag of quinoa on sale and it just sits in my pantry
I thought I'd use it for everything, but I lost about $12 and a bunch of cabinet space because I don't actually like cooking it. Anyone have good recipes to make this stuff taste better?

Oh man, the "thought I'd use it for everything" part is so real. I was in the same spot. The trick is to treat it like rice but rinse it really well first (that bitter coating is the worst). I mix it into soups and chili at the end, it soaks up the flavor. Or cook a batch with broth instead of water, then fry it with an egg and soy sauce for a quick fried rice thing. It's way better as a background player.

Honestly, I started throwing a handful into meatloaf or meatball mix. It soaks up the fat and keeps things from getting too greasy, you barely notice it's there.

and honestly, rinsing it well is key and i didn't do that at first so it tasted like dirt. @taylor632 is spot on about the broth thing too, i switched to chicken broth and it made a way bigger difference than i expected. i also started mixing it into my usual taco filling with some black beans and salsa, and that pretty much hides any weirdness. it's one of those things that you kinda have to trick yourself into eating at first, but eventually you just get used to it.
