Rethought my mortar mix after a talk with a mason in Chicago
He told me I was using too much water because I was in a hurry, and after 3 jobs with crumbly joints I see he was right. Anyone else had to slow down to speed up?

Did you ever think too much water just made it easier to work with until you saw the joints fall apart?
