Tried watering my peace lily with fish tank water instead of tap

I swapped out the tap water for the old water from my 10 gallon tank during a water change last month. The leaves got way darker and it put out 3 new blooms within two weeks. Has anyone else noticed a difference using aquarium water on their houseplants?

Definitely noticed the same thing with my pothos and spider plants. I started using my old 20 gallon tank water a couple months back and my pothos went from kinda sad and droopy to having leaves the size of my hand. It's basically free fertilizer with all the fish waste and nitrates in there, so it makes sense that plants go crazy for it. I'd just be careful not to use it too often though, maybe every other watering, cause I overdid it once and got some salt buildup on the soil. The peace lily blooms are a good sign though, that plant's picky so it must really love that fish water.

It's funny how the best solutions are usually the ones right under our noses.
