PSA: Natural window light works better for my herbs than any grow light I've tried.

Bet my last three failed herb gardens feel personally called out right now lol. Spent all that cash on a fancy purple light setup that basically made fancy looking parsley corpses. Meanwhile the junk basil plant I threw in the kitchen window as an afterthought is taking over the whole sill. Guess the billion year old fireball in the sky knows a thing or two about growing stuff. My wallet hates this simple truth.

@cole_hall Right? My basil out back is huge and I've never done a thing for it. Sun and water, who knew. We both learned the hard way.

Actually basil needs a bit more than just sun and water to really thrive. A little pinch here and there to stop it from flowering makes a huge difference. It's a small step that keeps it growing leaves instead of going to seed.
