A customer said my rounded corners looked amateur. He was right.

I bind books on the side here in Indianapolis. A guy picked up a journal I made and pointed out my corners were uneven by maybe a millimeter. I thought he was being picky. But then I looked closer and yeah he was right. I spent the next week practicing with a corner rounder punch and a template jig. Now I check every single corner with a caliper before I even glue the cover. Has anyone else had a client point out something small that actually made you better?

Do you actually check every single corner with a caliper now?

Wait, you're asking if I check EVERY corner with a caliper? That's INSANE. Like, do people actually do that for real? I mean I get being precise but that sounds like something out of a woodworking horror movie. I usually just eyeball it and hope for the best, maybe measure once if it's a really important joint. But a caliper for every single corner? That's next level dedication, I can't even wrap my head around it.
