TIL the Dune movie actually fixed a detail from the book that never made sense to me

I always thought everyone saying the movie ruined the book was wrong. Turns out in the original novel, the stillsuits recapture 100% of water, but Frank Herbert later admitted that's physically impossible. David Lynch's version actually got it right by showing moisture loss. Has anyone else found a movie fix that improves on the source material?

Wait, @morgan.charlie, did your buddy ever read the part in the book where Hammond gets eaten by the compies? Because I think the movie fixed that too. In the book it's this weird slow death, but the movie just kills him offscreen with the compy pit. Honestly I kinda liked the book's version better, but I get why Spielberg changed it. That whole compy death scene in the book always felt mean-spirited to me.

Man, I had a buddy who swears the movie version of Jurassic Park fixed something from the book. He told me in the novel, the T-Rex just kind of wanders around and gets loose without any real explanation, but in the movie they show it pulled through the fence during the storm. He said that always bugged him as a kid reading it, like why didn't they just lock the gate better. When the movie came out he was so relieved they actually showed the cause.
