Did you read the book first or watch the movie first? I always figured the book would mess you up more since King goes way deeper into the hotel and what Jack is really seeing. Then I watched the movie alone at night during a snowstorm and had to turn on every light in my place, so I get the warning now. The twins in the hallway got me worse than anything in the book, honestly.
