Am I the only one who watched the 2005 Pride and Prejudice before ever cracking the book, and now I can't finish page 40?

I watched the Keira Knightley movie on a rainy Sunday in March. The next week I grabbed the paperback for $7 at a used shop in Columbus. Two days in I quit at page 40. The weird part is my mental picture of every room and every face comes straight from the film, so the book feels like reading someone else's DVD commentary. Has this happened to anyone else, and did you push through or just go back to the movie?
