My coworker convinced me to give audio fiction a real shot

I always thought audiobooks were cheating until Mike in accounting told me he listened to The Expanse during his 45-minute commute each way. He described a scene where they navigate through an asteroid field and the way he got excited about the sound design made me realize I was being snobby about nothing. Anyone else change their mind about a format after talking to someone?

Audio books are great for commuting. I got through 40 books last year that way.

Lazy reading for people who can't sit still" - man, that's harsh. I actually find audio lets me focus on the story in a different way, like hearing character voices makes their personalities click for me faster than reading. Its not about being lazy, its just using different parts of your brain.
