Talked to an old hand at the union hall, now I'm second guessing my rig
Guy from Local 74 was looking at my welding leads and said I'd be better off running 4/0 cable instead of the 2/0 I've used for 8 years. Said the voltage drop on long runs costs more in rework than the cable upgrade. Has anyone else switched and noticed the difference on those big tank jobs?

8 years of solid work says 2/0 aint the problem. Thats just sales talk.
