Update: I stopped logging plays in an app and went back to paper, and my group actually plays more
I tracked everything in BG Stats for around 2 years and it turned game night into data entry, so I grabbed a $6 notebook from Target and just jot the winner and date now. Last Friday we got through 4 games of Cascadia instead of the usual 2 because nobody was glued to their phone between turns. Anyone else ditch the tracking app and feel weirdly guilty about it at first?
So you swapped a two second tap on your phone for writing stuff down with a pen, and that's what fixed game night? Weird how the guilt always shows up when you quit a thing you spent years building up. Sounds less like the app was the problem and more like you just needed an excuse to stop caring about stats.
