I swore 2-player Twilight Struggle was broken until a guy at my local shop in Tulsa showed me the scoring card trick
For 6 months I refused to play Twilight Struggle with just 2 players because the scoring cards felt like a cheap coin flip that decided the whole game. Last weekend a guy named Dave at my shop in Tulsa told me to deal 3 scoring cards to each player at the start and let them hold one back before the first turn. I tried it, and suddenly the game felt like planning instead of praying. We played 4 rounds and every single one came down to the last move. Has anyone else tried a house rule like this, or do you just play it straight?
