I mocked the dice tower for years, then my group played Dune at 2am

I always figured dice towers were just for people who can't roll straight. Last Friday my buddy brought this hand carved wooden one to our Dune game and after the third time my dice bounced off a pizza box and gave me a traitor win I had to admit it changes things. Anyone else been forced to eat their words about a board game accessory you thought was pointless?
