Am I the only one who spent 2 whole games scoring Catan harbors completely backward?
I was at my buddy's place in Reno last Saturday and kept wondering why my sheep port never paid off, then he pointed out I had the 2:1 rule flipped in my head, trading two of anything for one sheep instead of the other way around. Six plays in before anyone caught it, and now I want to know if anyone else has misread a rule for way longer than they'd like to admit.
six plays in before anyone caught it" sounds about right honestly, most of us learn Catan rules by getting them wrong first and having a friend yell at us. Not really a big deal, it's a board game, not a math test.
