Hit 500 railroad spikes forged this weekend without even realizing it
I was just cleaning up my shop after a long Saturday and counting up my finished pieces for a customer order. Turns out I passed 500 railroad spike knives since I started three years ago. That number surprised me because I never really kept track, just kept working on them one at a time. Has anyone else lost count of how many of a certain item you've made?

@sethmartinez you ever ask your neighbor if those cutting boards ever start feeling too repetitive, or is that just part of the grind?

My neighbor who does woodworking says the same thing about cutting boards. He lost count around 200 and just started guessing when people ask. It's like any skill you do enough of, the numbers just blur together.
