Started a 14-hour show and gave up after 3 episodes, what went wrong?

Picked up that new true crime docudrama everyone's talking about on a Thursday night. Had snacks, blanket, the whole deal. By episode 3 I was checking my phone every five minutes and turned it off. The pacing felt like they stretched a 2-hour story into 14. Does anyone else bail on a show this early and feel weird about it because the reviews are so good?

Pacing felt off" is right. Same thing happened to me with that cooking competition show, skipped to the finale and honestly enjoyed it more.
