Switched from grease to anti-seize on pedal threads after a nightmare removal

Spent two hours fighting a seized pedal on a client's old mountain bike last month, ended up having to cut the crank arm off. Now I use copper anti-seize on every pedal install, especially on aluminum cranks where galvanic corrosion is common. Anyone else made this switch or still sticking with grease?

Oh man, I feel your pain! I did the exact same thing last year on my own bike, thought I was being smart with regular grease and ended up snapping a cheap crank arm trying to get a pedal off. It's such a stupid way to learn a lesson. Now I'm team anti-seize all the way too, especially on anything aluminum. I figure if it can stop exhaust bolts from welding themselves together on a car, it can handle a pedal thread. Plus I love that it doesn't dry out or wash away as easy as grease. Honestly, I wish I'd made the switch years ago and saved myself the embarrassment of explaining to my riding buddies why my crank was in two pieces.

@alex_hall91 same here. Anti-seize saved my sanity.
