Showerthought: I just found out how many bearings are in a standard cup and cone hub
Honestly, I was rebuilding an old Shimano 105 hub from a 90s road bike yesterday and decided to count them. There are 18 ball bearings in each side, 36 total. I always thought it was just a handful, maybe 10 or 12 per side. Has anyone else been surprised by a simple spec like that?
