My shop's comeebacks went from 4 a week to 1 after I started writing torque specs on the tag
Three months back at my bench in Dayton, I got tired of the same bottom bracket and headset jobs rolling back in because customers were guessing at the torque. So I started writing the actual number, like 40 Nm for a crank bolt, right on the repair tag next to the part. Comeebacks went from about 4 a week down to 1, and it was dumb simple. Any of you write the spec on the tag too, or do you just tell them and hope it sticks?
Ha, that sounds exactly like something I would do. I once taped a note to my dashboard and still drove around for a week with the light on, so @torres.leo and I are clearly in the same boat. Honestly the old way of just checking them at every fill-up probably works better than trusting my own handwriting.
