Can we talk about the week I froze 4 pounds of ginger and stopped buying that sad dry stuff
I got tired of ginger going soft in the fridge drawer in like 3 days, so I peeled a whole 4 dollar bag, threw the chunks in a zip bag, and froze them. Now I just grate it straight from frozen into the pan, no stringy bits and zero waste. Anyone else freeze stuff they used to just watch die in the crisper?
That "sad dry stuff" line cracked me up because my buddy did the same thing with a 3 pound bag of garlic last month. Now he grates it frozen right into the pan and swears he'll never go back to the jar stuff.
