Old timer in Denver told me to stop asking what they want
Had a guy in his 70s sit down last month, pointed at the mirror, and said 'son, you keep asking if I want it shorter, you'll never build a book.' He wanted a flat top with a fade, told me exactly how he wore it in the Army. I did it his way without a single check-in, he tipped 20 bucks and booked again. But it got me thinking, are we supposed to read minds or just execute? Some of my regulars get annoyed if I don't ask, so is that old school approach dead or just for certain clients?

Man, I still ask and get yelled at for cutting too much.
