My old clippers finally gave out mid-fade yesterday

I've been using the same pair of Wahl Seniors for about 7 years now and yesterday they just stopped mid-cut. I was doing a skin fade on a regular of mine and the motor started sounding rough then just quit. Had to finish the whole thing with my backup Andis Master which I barely ever use anymore. The Seniors have been my workhorse since I started barbering back in 2016 and I never thought about replacing them until now. Old school barbers used to swear by the metal corded clippers back in the day and maybe they had a point about durability. Anyone else had a tool they loved for years just die on them like that?

Man that sucks. Is it worth getting them fixed or are you just gonna grab a new pair?
