Blew $340 on a hot towel cabinet in 2011 and it sat dead in my shop for 8 months
When I opened my first chair in Fresno, I thought a hot towel cabinet would class up the whole place, so I dropped $340 on one before I had a single regular. It worked fine for a while, but the heating element died about a year in, and I never got around to fixing it because I was too busy cutting hair to mess with it. It just sat in the corner holding dusty towels while I went back to warming them in a crockpot I got at a thrift store for $6. Funny thing is, the crockpot is still going strong after 12 years and I have never once had a client complain about it. So what is the one tool or gadget you spent real money on that ended up being a total waste?
