A client told me my fades were too harsh and it clicked

This guy came in about three weeks ago and said, 'Man, the line is so sharp it looks like a helmet.' I was using my old Wahl Seniors and just going straight from a 1 to a 2 guard without blending enough. Now I spend an extra five minutes with the lever open and my Andis Slimline to soften that transition. Has anyone else had a client point out something that made you change your whole approach to a cut?
