Spent 3 hours trying to fix a cake that wouldn't rise
Thought my oven was broken after my third flat cake in a row. Turns out my baking soda was expired by 8 months. Checked the date on the box and it was from 2022. Anyone else waste half a day on a stupid ingredient swap before you figured it out?

My buddy Tim spent 2 hours troubleshooting his mixer before realizing he'd grabbed salt instead of sugar. That was a sad cupcake day.

Oh man, that is brutal! My friend Jenna spent an entire Saturday making her grandma's famous pound cake recipe and it came out like a hockey puck. She was so mad she almost threw the pan out the window. Turns out she'd used self-rising flour instead of all-purpose by accident (she grabbed the wrong bag from the pantry). @sanchez.blake, your buddy Tim's story reminds me of Jenna's other disaster where she mixed up vanilla extract with soy sauce for a frosting batch. She said her kitchen smelled like a teriyaki restaurant for days. I swear, a simple label check would save us all a lot of heartache.
