Shoutout to switching from a hand mixer to a stand mixer for cookie dough

I used to always use my hand mixer for chocolate chip cookies and ended up with tough, flat discs every time. Then about 6 months ago I switched to creaming the butter and sugar in my stand mixer on low for 2 minutes, and the cookies come out thick and soft now. Anyone else notice a huge difference from just swapping the tool you use?

Yeah, going from a hand mixer to a stand mixer for cookies is like trading a tricycle for a sports car." My cookies used to come out flat and sad too, turns out the hand mixer just couldn't handle the butter right. Now I feel like I'm cheating every time I see that thick, soft dough come together.

Wait, are you telling me that whole time I was blaming my grandma's recipe when it was really just my hand mixer letting me down? Now I'm wondering what else in my kitchen has been secretly sabotaging me this whole time!
