My sourdough starter turned 100 days old yesterday and I almost cried

I started it during a rough patch in March, and honestly thought I'd kill it within a week like my last three attempts. Seeing that little jar hit triple digits felt like a quiet win, especially after all the flat, dense loaves I made along the way. Has anyone else had a baking project that just stuck around way longer than you expected?

Man, that's awesome. I had a similar thing with a rosemary plant I got on a whim. It just kept living through my total neglect, and when it hit a year I was weirdly proud. There's something about keeping a little living thing going that feels bigger than it is. Your starter hitting triple digits is a huge deal, especially after those early loaves.

Totally get that feeling with plants. My rosemary actually died after a few months though, so your neglect skills are better than mine.

My starter's first real loaf was a total brick at day 45.
