I was out of parchment paper for my sourdough and used cornmeal instead
I mean, I was about to just skip baking because the dough was sticking to my Dutch oven. Sprinkled a thick layer of cornmeal on the bottom as a last resort, and it actually gave the crust this amazing, gritty texture. Anyone else tried weird substitutes when you're out of the usual stuff?
