That guy's rant about bad fight scenes made me rethink my whole movie night picks

Last month a buddy of mine went off for like ten minutes about how the fight choreography in Miami Connection is so bad it's basically performance art. He said I was watching bad movies the wrong way, that I kept picking stuff with boring badness instead of fun badness. Honestly it kind of stung because I thought I knew the genre. So I switched up my picks to stuff where the flaws are loud and proud, like The Room or Birdemic, where every line is gold. Now I pay attention to what makes a flop enjoyable, like random musical numbers or actors clearly reading cue cards. Has anyone else had a friend completely rewire what they find funny in these movies, or am I just hanging out with too many film nerds?

That buddy's take totally changed my view, used to hate bad movies but now I hunt for the funny ones.
