Tried cold emailing CEOs directly instead of the generic contact form

I spent 6 months sending emails through company contact pages and got maybe 2 replies. Last month I started using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find CEO emails for 50 B2B SaaS companies in Austin and wrote short, casual messages. Out of 50 emails, I got 12 replies and 3 actual demo calls. Has anyone else tried skipping the gatekeepers like this?

Honestly, 'skipping the gatekeepers' is huge. I remember when I tried emailing a VP of Sales directly instead of going through their support line, the guy replied in like an hour. It's wild how much faster things move when you cut out the middleman.
