I finally stopped using generic case studies and started making them customer specific

Used to just write vague success stories that could apply to anyone, but after a client in Columbus told me our case study didn't feel like it was about their industry at all, I switched to naming actual dollar amounts and timelines for each client's results - who else has had buyers call them out on generic content like that?

Totally agree with you on this. I had the same thing happen with a client in the restaurant space - they straight up told me our "10x revenue growth" claim sounded like fluff because it didn't mention their actual seasonal sales cycles. Switched to naming exact months and their specific customer count, and now people actually trust the numbers.
