TIL I've been over-torquing lug nuts for a decade
A customer came back with a warped rotor, and I realized I'd just been cranking them down with my impact gun set way too high. I checked the spec for a 2018 Civic and it's only 80 ft-lbs, which feels like nothing. How do you guys keep yourself honest on the torque wrench for stuff you do a hundred times a day?

Man, that's a classic mistake. I used to think tight was right until I saw a stud snap off. Now I just make myself click the wrench every single time, no shortcuts.
