Spent 4 hours chasing a wiring gremlin on a 2018 F-150 yesterday
Turned out to be a bad ground strap behind the tail light that looked fine until I bent it. Anyone else run into those phantom electrical issues that waste half a shift?

Nah, bad grounds are usually my first guess, not a waste of time.

Bad grounds are usually my first guess" - that's fair for some stuff, but you're skipping over a lot of common issues that happen before grounds. Intermittent power or a dying switch can look exactly like a ground problem and waste a ton of time chasing the wrong thing. Always check the simple power related stuff first, then move to grounds if that's clear.
