PSA: I just found out how much a paint booth filter change can really save you

I was reading an old trade magazine in the break room and it said a clogged filter can cut booth airflow by 40%. That explains why my last clear coat job had so much dust in it. How often do you guys actually swap yours out?

Changed mine last month after a run of heavy primer work. The difference in overspray pull was night and day.

Yeah that's a huge one. I used to run mine until they looked dirty, but then I had a job where the metallic just wouldn't lay right. Turns out the airflow was so weak it was messing with the spray pattern. Now I just change the intake filters every other week like clockwork, more if we're spraying a lot of primer. It's cheap insurance.

Ever have that happen with a solid color, @emery356?
