Used to warm up my sled for 10 minutes every morning, now I just start and go
I used to idle my Arctic Cat for a solid 10 minutes before riding, thinking it needed to be warm. Changed that this winter after a buddy showed me how modern EFI engines work. Now I start it, give it 30 seconds, then ride easy for the first mile. Saves me about 9 minutes every ride and burns way less gas. Has anyone else noticed better engine life with shorter warm-ups?

Buddy told me the same thing and now my sled doesn't sound like a lawnmower having a panic attack... saved me a ton of time and probably some embarrassment.

...and honestly that's the thing people don't get, @kelly.dylan. Most of the time it's not some fancy fix, it's just doing the basic maintenance right. I've seen too many guys chase the wrong problem for weeks when it was something simple the whole time. Your buddy did you a solid, that kind of advice is worth more than a hundred YouTube videos. The older I get, the more I appreciate the guys who just tell it straight.
