Just realized running my old 2-stroke on regular gas versus the ethanol-free stuff from the station on Route 9 was the difference between a sputtering mess and a smooth ride all winter.

After three rides last month where it kept bogging down in deep powder, I switched to the ethanol-free premium and haven't had a single stall since, so is there a better station near the trails for that stuff or do you all just use an additive?

That station by the old mill is my go-to spot too.

Yeah that ethanol stuff is a real problem for small engines. Read an article a while back that said it attracts water, which is the last thing you want in a fuel system, especially in cold weather. The station by the old mill usually has ethanol-free 91 octane, that's where I go. Honestly I don't even bother with additives anymore, just seek out the good gas. Makes a huge difference for anything that sits for a while.

Man, my old snowblower story is exactly the same, that ethanol-free gas is a total game-changer.
