A 4th grader's question about stacking images changed my whole workflow

I was showing my Andromeda stack to a student last Tuesday and she asked why I didn't just take one long exposure instead of 40 short ones. That made me actually look up how stacking reduces noise via median averaging, and now I process everything in batches of 15 instead of 5. Has anyone else had a kid or beginner ask something that made you rethink a habit you'd been doing for years?

Man, kids ask the wildest stuff. My nephew once asked why my star photos weren't moving like the videos online, and now I'm down a rabbit hole of time-lapse software instead of ever finishing my deep sky shots.
